Let’s get real for a second. Building a brand that stands out and makes an impact isn’t easy, but it’s so worth it! Whether you’re just starting or feeling stuck, sometimes the smallest tweaks can make the biggest difference. 

Today, I’m spilling the tea on three common mistakes that could be holding your brand back—and of course, how to fix them! Let’s get into it. 

1. Your Brand Lacks Clarity

Let’s be honest—if you don’t know what your brand stands for, how can anyone else?  One of the biggest mistakes I see is a lack of clarity around what the brand is all about.

The Fix:
Get crystal clear on your brand’s mission, vision, and values. Ask yourself:

  • What problem am I solving?
  • Who am I speaking to?
  • How do I want people to feel when they interact with my brand?

When you know who you are and what you offer, everything—from your content to your customer experience—becomes so much easier. Trust me, babe, clarity is confidence. 

2. You’re Trying to Appeal to Everyone

Newsflash: You can’t be everything to everyone. Trying to appeal to a broad audience waters down your message and makes it harder for your ideal client to find you.

The Fix:
Get specific! Identify your ideal client and speak directly to them. Think about their:

  • Age, lifestyle, and interests
  • Challenges and goals
  • Where they hang out online

When you focus on your people, you’ll attract the right audience who gets your brand and is ready to buy. 

3. Your Visuals Don’t Align with Your Message

Your visuals are the first impression of your brand, and if they’re off, you might be sending mixed signals.  Are your colors, fonts, and overall vibe aligned with your brand’s personality?

The Fix:
Take a hard look at your branding. Does it reflect who you are and what you offer? If not, it might be time for a refresh. Consistency is key, babe! Make sure your:

  • Website
  • Social media profiles
  • Marketing materials

...all tell the same story. A cohesive brand is a memorable brand!
